Rice pudding is a delicious treat popular in Europe and America. This basic recipe does not use eggs.
Ingredients:
1 cup of rice
2 cups of water
2 cups of milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup raisins
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cinnamon sticks
Preparation:
Boil the rice in 2 cups of water in a covered pan until the water is absorbed.
Add the milk, sugar, raisins, and the cinnamon sticks and cook uncovered
on medium heat, stirring frequently. When the mixture has thickened to a consistency that
can be spooned, add the vanilla and stir for two more minutes. Place in serving cups
and chill in the refrigerator.
